Always wanted to learn Spanish?
With GetAbroad, you’ll study Spanish at some of the coolest language schools in Spain and Latin America — and have an unforgettable adventure while you’re at it.

Freedom & Flexibility

The best way to learn a language?
Immerse yourself in it. That’s why we’ve partnered with top schools in amazing locations. Fancy learning Spanish in buzzing Buenos Aires while taking tango lessons? Or maybe you’d rather be by the beach in Cartagena (Colombia) or San Antonio (Costa Rica)?

Want to give something back while you travel? Combine your course with volunteering; help protect turtles in Costa Rica or teach English at a local school in Colombia.

Prefer to stay closer to home? Choose from great schools across Spain! Love sun and sea? Head to Valencia, Málaga, or Tarifa. More into art and culture? Seville, Madrid, or Salamanca might be your vibe. Oh, and yes, you can even ski in Spain! In Granada, you’re close to the slopes and the beach.

Learn Spanish. Live Spanish. With GetAbroad.

The Language Institutes

At GetAbroad, we work only with carefully selected and truly unique language institutes. Each school has been chosen for its quality, atmosphere, and location. Choosing the right institute and destination for your Spanish course can feel overwhelming, so we’re happy to help you find the perfect match.

Do you prefer a large, modern institute or a cozy school by the beach? Right in the heart of a bustling city or in a peaceful, quiet area? Whatever your learning style or wishes, we’ll help you make the best choice so your Spanish course becomes an unforgettable experience.

Our Course Offers

Every school offers a wide range of courses and the best part: almost all courses in our program are available year-round.
You decide the length of your course depending on your goals, starting from just one week up to a year or even longer.

Classes are small: never more than 10–12 students, with an average of around 5. Most lessons last about one hour and usually take place Monday to Friday, either from 9:30 to 13:30 and/or from 14:30 to 18:30. Exact schedules may vary.

On your first day you’ll take a short written and oral placement test so you can start immediately at your correct level.

Levels offered:

Long-Term Course (12+ weeks)

Perfect if you want to fully dive into Spanish life and culture.
A longer stay gives you a deeper understanding of Spain’s daily life, customs, and even social, cultural, and political topics. Long-term courses also come with reduced tuition fees.

Academic Year Program (20+ weeks)

Want to build Spanish skills for life or prepare for university in Spain?
This program delivers near-fluent Spanish and deep cultural immersion.

It’s also ideal preparation for Bachelor’s or Master’s programs taught in Spanish, and even for students entering Spanish secondary schools. Significant tuition discounts apply.

50+ Senior Courses

Specially designed for learners aged 50 and above who want to study Spanish combined with cultural activities such as museum visits, guided city tours, and Flamenco shows.

You can also join the regular Standard Course, though we can’t guarantee placement in a 50+ group for that option.

Accommodation Options

Each of our partner schools offers its own selection of accommodation options. No matter which school you choose, you can always stay with a host family, in a shared apartment, or in a private room shared with other students. If a school offers additional housing options, you’ll find those described on the specific school’s page.

Apartment/ Student housing

If you prefer more independence and want to experience student life in Spain, a shared apartment or student house is the perfect choice. You’ll live with a mix of international and Spanish students, ideal if you enjoy a lively atmosphere and meeting new people.

You’ll have your own room, and share the kitchen, living room, and bathroom with your housemates. Apartments are fully equipped with essentials like a washing machine, cooking utensils, pots and pans, and usually a TV or radio in the shared living area.

Cooking together, studying together, going out together, the student house experience is fun, social, and truly international.

Prices are based on apartment or student housing, Uunless otherwise stated. Different accommodation options may affect the total price.

Studio

Prefer having your own space, privacy, and complete independence? Then a private studio is the perfect option for you. A studio gives you the comfort of living alone while still staying close to your school and the city’s highlights.

This option is ideal if you enjoy peace and quiet, want full control over your schedule, or simply love having a place that feels like home while studying abroad. You can cook whenever you want, relax in your own space, and truly create your own routine, without having to share common areas with other students.

Though you live independently, you’ll still be just a short walk away from your classes and all the social activities organized by GetAbroad and the school. The perfect balance between privacy and student life!

Host Family

Staying with a Spanish host family is the best way to immerse yourself in the language and culture from day one. You’ll immediately experience everyday life in Spain and get the chance to apply what you’ve learned in class directly at home. It’s also the option that typically leads to the fastest progress in your Spanish.

Our host families have been carefully selected and have worked with GetAbroad and our partner schools for many years. You can choose to stay alone in a family or share the home with another student.

Meal options include half board or full board, depending on your preference. You’ll have your own key and the freedom to come and go as you like.
And if the match with your host family isn’t ideal—no worries! We can arrange a change of family at any time.
