Day in the life of hotel animation

My day starts at 9 in the morning when my alarm goes off. I quickly get dressed, brush my teeth, and head straight to breakfast.

At 9:50 the whole team meets backstage to go through the plan for the day. At 10:15 we officially start with a full schedule of activities, kicking things off with our club dance “Opa Opa.” At 11:00 I join hotel guests for either darts or pétanque. We do the activity for about half an hour, and at 12:00 I run a big cocktail game with all the guests around the pool.

From 12:30 until 14:45 I have a break to relax and have lunch. At 15:00 I start water polo, which I often play longer than the other activities, and at 16:30 I play beach volleyball with around 12 to 24 people for about 40 minutes. When I’m not running an activity, I focus on guest contact — walking around, talking to guests, getting to know them, and making sure they feel welcome.

At 20:30 we start the mini disco for half an hour, followed by 30 minutes to set everything up for the evening show. Every night there’s a show: sometimes interactive, sometimes a dance show, a comedy performance, or a professional dance group that comes to perform. On Tuesdays and Fridays we go out with a large group of guests, and on the other days we usually have a drink together with the team!
